My Top 5 Super Bowl Commercials

#1 Doritos - The Best Part

The guy with the pants, ultra creepy, but the cheese on the finger really made me laugh!

#2 House isn't included in YouTubes "ad blitz" but it was awesome! Here's a poor quality of it, HD quality on the facebook page for House. http://www.facebook.com/#!/House

#3 Doritos - House Sitting

Grandpa sitting on the couch when he got home was the best part!

#4 Volkswagen - The Force

It's definitely something my dad would do just to mess with us.

#5 Brisk - Eminem

Because Eminem is awesome.

J.A.M.S. liked to sing and color

If you were to sneak up on the four of us in the middle of the night, (inside or out in a tent) you would often find us either watching disney movies and singing along, or simply singing disney songs acapella. Even in high school.

Of course, we really sucked. Off key and all, but we didn't care. We just had fun singing them!

Once AM and I started living together, it became Aqua that we sang all the time.

In 7th grade, I discovered Sailor Moon on the cartoon network, and then the books in our local Waldenbooks. I still have every single book. They're out of print and uber expensive now. I'm proud. But anyway...

I soon got them into it too, and after awhile, we created our own sailor scouts. We spent so much time creating them, their profiles and then coloring traces of the original scouts. It was fun creating our own world within one of our favorite shows.

In college, AM learned how to make videos with Sailor Moon episodes and later showed me. It's one of my favorite hobbies now, I just haven't made any in a really long time. However, here's one of my latest, featuring Sailor Moon and, of course, a Disney song!

At the end of the video, I included one of my favorite scenes. It reminds me of the four of us when we came across a bug, spider, whatever. We would scream and have a parent come kill it. If there was no parent, SM was the bravest and would take care of it.

Once it was me and AM, Steve became our bug killer and that was often the exact scene in our apartment. :)

Cover by Meghan Tonjes

I love her voice. She's finally getting away from her monotone singing, and it's beautiful! I wish I had a voice like hers. :)

"It gets better" project

Some guy high up in the Mormon church said some things recently that has the GLBTQ community on fire. As well, the 6 recent suicides from gay bullying. I just don't understand why people have an issue with the GLBTQ. Especially Christians. Not just the Mormons, but Christians in general. The bible teaches us to simply love. Love everyone, and don't judge. Judgment is for God, and God alone.

Jesus says in John 13: 34: "34But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you."

If you know anything about Jesus' love, you know that His love is pure and whole, and He loves everyone. He often went out of his way to show love to those being persecuted, and who got no respect. Prostitutes, tax collectors, etc.

I have no doubt that if He were here today, He would again go out of His way to show love to this community. While I know some of my fellow Christians share this belief, there are others that refuse to listen to the teachings of Jesus Christ. They pick and choose what they want from the bible, and they take it literally.

I am not gay, but I am an ally, and a Christian one at that. To the loved ones of those teenagers, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you've already heard about and have joined the "It Gets Better" project. This project is about telling those who are being persecuted/bullied for being gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, or questioning or even just being different, know that life gets better. It really does. This project is about letting you know that there are people out there who have gone through this, are going through it and you're not alone. There are so many support systems here in the U.S. despite all the homophobes, or anti-gay people. Even if you don't have an actual place to go to because you're in a small town, or for whatever reason, get on the internet, or pick up the phone.

I feel so sad that these kids took their own lives because they felt like they were alone, because they didn't have anyone telling them that it gets better. People are cruel and judgmental, but they are also compassionate and accepting. You just have to find them. You just have to reach out, and someone will be there who understands you and who can help you.

I wonder how the bullies are feeling, and I hope that they learned to be more compassionate.

Below is a video of the people who have started this project. If you visit their channel, you'll see thousands of other uploads, just trying to spread the message that truly "it gets better." Anyway, I love this project and just wanted to share it.

Santa lost weight!

I have been so tired and uninspired. I love making AMVs (Anime Music Videos) but I just can't seem to find a song that inspires me. I've found a lot of really great songs that I love recently, but none that match any of the Anime that I own.

Life hasn't been too terribly exciting. I started and ended a job rather quickly. I'll post about that later this week. I'll also tell you why I fail at complicated cookies.

I did discover that Santa is on a diet!!! He must have finally realized cookies aren't good for you. Especially in the quantity he's been eating them in. No, actually I'm guessing the mall just couldn't find any one fat enough that wanted to do it this year. *shrug* He is super skinny though. It's kinda funny watching him walk around on his breaks because the suit is so big on him! He comes into my bookstore a lot. Too bad I didn't get a picture for you. Sorry. :/

But if you're interested... here is one of my AMVs. It's just a 30 second clip from a collaboration I did with some people.
