There is no leak

Shortly after we first moved in, there was a leak in our ceiling in the middle of our living room. We called the office the next morning, they fixed it. It hasn't been an issue since.

A couple months later, like maybe 2, 2 1/2 months, our swamp cooler started to leak. It was cold now, it had been drained or whatever it is you do with swamp coolers, and it wasn't being used anymore. But it was leaking onto our kitchen table and then onto the floor.

We called the office, maintenance didn't see anything. They said it was probably just the wind blowing in the water because it had been very windy as well as pouring that week. Whatever.

A few weeks go by, no more leaking. Then it snows. It starts leaking again. They make sure the swamp cooler is tight, and redo the flashing around it.

Another few weeks go by, it's leaking again. This time they go into the attic. There's a pile of snow sitting in there. They scoop it out, and decide to wait until it's dry to do anything. I don't remember what they did outside the apartment, but inside, they just added some caulking to the edge of the vent.

Last week, a bee came in through the vent, and Jasmine starts playing with it, of course. Steve quickly kills it and takes it away from her. I write an annoyed aggressive little note to the office letting them know that I am sick of the issues with the swamp cooler. I tell them that there is obviously something wrong up there and they need to fix it because I don't want to come home to an injured kitty because she's been playing with bees and wasps that are getting in.

All they did was look around for nests, and holes. Said they found nothing.

Then, this last Tuesday at 5AM, Steve hears a splash and goes to investigate. There's a big puddle and a hole in the ceiling next to the vent of the swamp cooler.

SERIOUSLY?!

FIX IT THE FIRST TIME! It's costing you money. It could cost you lots of money if it turns into a mold issue, which it better not! I don't have health insurance!

The roofers were supposed to come yesterday, they didn't. Steve called the office today about the hole in our ceiling because his parents will be here tomorrow night, and we want it fixed. Only then did the office realize that the roofers never showed up. Why do we have to do their job for them? Aren't they supposed to be on top of this stuff? There's 3 of them in that office!

I'm just so frustrated with the leaking roof!

I enjoy not having upstairs neighbors, and I enjoy not being ground level (makes it easier for burglars, murderers, etc) but I don't want my things ruined because they won't fix the issue.

They're lucky it's just an old ugly dining set that keeps getting dripped on and not any of my electronics or other furniture.
