Central States Fair

Just gotta say... Montana is better at the whole fair thing. The rides, of course, were the exact same because it's the same carnival. The booths though... man they sucked.

In Montana, there are so many awesome booths with handcrafted items, and even just things you can't really find anywhere else. I love looking at that stuff. Yeah, SD doesn't know how to do that. They had all the food of course, but none of the cool knick knacks, picture frames, blankets, etc. There were just local advertising booths. LAME!

Anyway, it was the first night of the fair. We went at 4:30 and no one was there because it was 100 degrees outside. So there were no lines until about 8 and even then they were pretty short.

We went on a bunch of rides, but after we went on the Tilt-A-Whirl the second time, I was feeling pretty sick so I was done after that. I had to sit on a bench for a good fifteen minutes before I felt better. We were thinking about leaving, but then NB text me and so we decided to stay and walk around with them. Steve went on a couple rides with some of his co-workers while I waited to meet NB and her husband JB.

JB seemed pretty excited and talking about all the rides so NB asked me if she should buy him some tickets to go on a few rides, and I said yes. We both thought it was a good idea because he really did seem excited!

So Steve, JB and NB went on the Gravitron (I was done with rides, remember?) and then JB and Steve went on a couple other rides and JB started feeling sick too.

I asked NB what a funnel cake was because I'd never had one, and so she bought one for us to share.

Very yummy!

After that, they decided to leave because JB really wasn't feeling well. So we left too, because we were pretty much done.

Between some of the rides though, Steve asked me which prize I wanted from the game booths and there were some really cute wild cats that I wanted. It was really the only one I liked, and it just so happened to be a medium size so we didn't have to spend a lot to get him. Yay!

He will fit in nicely with the rest of my stuffed animal collection. <3
